Background:

Richard's 'apprenticeship' began under the previous Head of Medicine of Manchester City, Newcastle United and New York Red Bulls at his prestigious Physiotherapy clinic.  During this time, Richard developed a wide-range of assessment skills, manual therapy techniques and advanced rehabilitation approaches. 

He then went on to take up 1st team roles in professional football, during which he passed the Advanced Trauma and Medical Management in Football course.

Richard has a wealth of experience working with professional footballers, rugby players, boxers and track & field athletes.  He also has a background in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients from all walks of life - ranging from chronic lower back pain to nagging shoulders.
